What is this?

So yesterday it was so hot here. My brain is melting, so I apologize to those I have made odd comments too. I'm Canadian, this heat is too much.
Anyway, yesterday Sylvia, Bamboo and I went to the beach and we saw this thing. What is it? A jellyfish?

I don't think either of these is the correct. It is still a mystery.

Someone told me they are shrivelled up australian hearts.

You will probably see a lot of them on our beaches at the moment.

There seems to be a connection to the increasing amounts of them being washed up with the increase of racisim and general red-neck activity in Australia.

It might be a dog's poo in St.Kilda beach! but the colour doesn't much!
